Is it just me, or is there something about ‘growing up’ that makes socializing increasingly structured and/or formal? I feel like certain people, these days in adult land, require a destination or occasion or objective or plan as a pretext to social interaction. It’d be nice if everyone stopped using their cellphones and computers for a day, so then you’d just have to show up at my apartment after work for the hell of it, and we’d have no idea where the day and night might take us.
